The Lloydminster Potters Guild was founded in March of 2009, and makes it’s home at the Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Center in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.
We are a group of potters, with varying degrees of skill and knowledge, seeking to improve our craft and share our art with Lloydminster and beyond. Our aim is to engage in a cooperative spirit of fellowship and sharing of ideas and techniques with fellow potters.
Meets at 7pm the 4th Monday each month at the Barr Colony Heritage
Cultural Centre
Lloydminster and surrounding area is alive with talent...painters, weavers potters, quilters, those involved in fibre arts, photography, metalwork, and other varied fine arts pursuits. It is also an area that is home to those who appreciate the arts, as spectators or collectors, though they may not be artists themselves.
Meetings consist of a short (emphasis on short) business meeting, followed by a guest speaker, or information on workshops we will present, and possible critiques if it is desired. At the end we will have a social time to look at the work we encourage people to bring each meeting. This united network will provide an opportunity to advance and motivate ourselves, and as well promote the recognition of visual arts in our area.
