A collaborative project between the senior visual arts and industrial
art students at
Holy Rosary High School and Artist In Residence, Laura Hale.
The project consisted of the creation of large-scale
spheres to be installed
throughout Bud Miller Park. Industrial art students contributed to
design and construction
of metal armatures, visual art students contributed to artistic
design of outer coverings. Students were exposed to a new kind of art
- temporary, outdoor installation art that will evolve back into the
landscape. The sphere project is ongoing and will continue with
various community partners contributing artistic input and participation.
