A Fiery Rainbow
by Harvey McIntosh

I chose to do flames with rainbow colors because I like flames but also fire usually represents hell and disaster so I went with the rainbow colors to change the perspective.

Stand Out!
by Dylan Wagner

Zero is a skateboard brand as some may know. I       wear Zero from liking its appearance even though I don’t skate. Skating has been used for rebellion before. “Zero or die”. I chose this to send a meaning to others, to rebel for your own unique identity and beliefs. Too many copy others and throw away their individual selves. Rebel against gangs, even the “clicks”. Fight for ideas, fight oppression. Countries need a stand against wrong ideas, war and corrupt politicians. Rebel for what you believe is right. Be a non-conformist.

Be Proud
by Bryden Carter

The rainbow flag is the symbol for gay
pride all over the world. Don’t be afraid to
show yourself. Be proud of who you are!

Peace, Love & Happiness
by Bailey Valette

I picked this triangle because it symbolizes trinity; the three being past, present and future. The triangle frames the three circles because peace, love and happiness is everywhere and should always be.

Bee Green
by Jazmyne Night

My image represents the issue of global warming. By being green, the bee and flower population can thrive in a healthy environment. BEE GREEN! And remember to recycle!

Censored by Riley Boyer

Uh, I would just like to say F#*K but I’m told not to since it’s not considered appropriate by today’s society so this is my   tribute to all the words considered “taboo”.

Skateboarding
by Cole Andrew Gariepy

I chose to do “skateboarding is not a crime” because I’ve been skateboarding for almost 6 years now and it makes me mad how the majority of people think that skateboarders are “bad asses” but we’re not, we are just like everyone else. Often people kick skateboarders out of their property or businesses for no reason and some even call the police which in my opinion is ridiculous because skateboarding is NOT a crime!!!

It’s All About You by Justin Folkes

The reason I chose to do this picture is because I like graffiti and I think it is a good saying that makes you think.

Fight for a Cure by Brittany Milligan

The breast cancer ribbon represents strength. My boyfriend’s Mom died on December 5th to cancer. She was a beautiful lady that didn’t deserve to suffer from this horrible disease. She fought for 6 long years. My Mom’s best friend also passed away of breast cancer, she suffered for 2 years. Having to watch people fight cancer shows strength and belief. Both people said to themselves everyday “I’m going to beat this.” My boyfriend’s mom beat it once but all her cancer came back all at once, 4 different kinds. Breast cancer is an evil, unfair and terrible disease. Please help find a cure.

Unity 2009 by Delcei Ortmann

When one looks at my artwork many ideas can come to mind. It can mean whatever one wants it to but in my eyes it represents “unity”. It is the symbol of “unity” between two neighbors. 2009 is a new age, the age of change and the hope of a world coming together.

by Russell Reader

The reason I chose to draw this is because it      provokes thought.  It can mean whatever YOU want it to mean.

Peace and Love, Man
by Danni Johnman

I feel peace and love should be balanced more in our lives, especially since we are faced with all these negative things like war, global warming and the economy being in danger. That is why I put the peace symbol and heart in the yin-yang.  The green in the background isn’t really symbolic for anything but it should remind people to be environment friendly.

Go Green by Amy Evanson

My image represents the green of nature such as stems, grass and trees. The arrows show power to support the environment, black is our pollution and the effect it has on our world.

Change by Ashley Gustafson

Think about it.

Grandma by Jenavee R. St. Amant

This piece of art is a memorial to my Grandma who passed away of lung cancer 2 years ago. The red rose is a symbol that I love her and is also a symbol of courage and respect for all of her years of trial and experience. I chose the color purpley-blue because it represents how she reminds me of royalty.

Scale of Society by Terence Boyer

The statement I want to portray to the community with my image is the impact an overpowered economy has on our present world. It shows us how our world is on a metaphorical scale with today’s money driven society.

Independence by Earl Russell

The reason I chose to do the Chinese symbol for independence is because I was told to not do band symbols or clothing symbols and to do something different from everybody else. So, I thought of independence and Chinese symbols for some reason.

Earth’s Chaos by Jordan Gower

I picked this picture because it reminds
me of the world today and what we are
doing to ourselves. It means Earth’s chaos
is going to be Earth’s destruction. The
light at the top represents life and death
and anger punishing the Earth for what happened to life.

No Vandalism, Stop Violence
by Brandon Folmer

The yellow fist signifies aggression and oppression towards unique individuals with any kind of quality or symbol they are not of the norm. The red line going across signifies how the oppression shouldn’t have a major role in judging by appearance, ethnicity, gender or sexual preference. The blue background means deep and flowing like the ocean signifying what we can do to eliminate harsh judgment of the members of our society.

Peace & Love by Haily Villeneuve

The message I want to send out to the community of Lloydminster is  PEACE & LOVE as we can come together despite our different beliefs. The red, yellow, green and black represent the Rastafarian culture bringing all mankind together as one in unity.
